Pistol Shooting 101 is an intro class that covers such topics as:

  • Safe Gun Handling and Storage

  • How Pistols Work

  • Pistol and Ammunition Selection

  • Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting (Stance, Grip, Aiming, Trigger Pull, etc)

PS 101 is approximately 8 hours and includes both a classroom portion and live fire time on the range. This class will meet the requirements to get your Conceal Carry Permit in both Connecticut and Virginia.

Pistol Shooting 102 builds on the skills learned in PS 101 with a continued focus on the fundamentals of pistol shooting. In addition, students will learn such skills as:

  • Shooting Drills

  • Target Transitions

  • Increased Shooting Speed

  • Reload Drills

  • Malfunction Clearing

Pistol Shooting 102

Defensive Pistol Shooting takes everything learned in PS 101 & 102 and adds more advanced skills such as:

  • Advanced Drills

  • Drawing from Holster

  • Multiple Target Engagement

  • Shooting while Moving

Students must have a solid understanding of the shooting fundamentals in order to participate in this class.

Carbine Shooting 101

Maryland HQL and Wear and Carry Permit courses are available for both MD residents and non-residents. The HQL Permit allows residents in MD to be able to purchase a handgun. The Wear and Carry Permit allows you to be able to carry a concealed handgun in Maryland as well as 27 other states. The class is 16 hours including gun safety and functionality, overview of MD gun laws, and and a shooting skill assessment.

Proper maintenance is essential to ensuring that your gun will work when you need it to. In this class you will learn to break down, clean, inspect, and reassemble your pistol. The cost of this class will including cleaning materials of your own so that you can maintain your gun at home.
